Michael Floreal
Undergraduate Intern
Biography
Michael Floreal is a student intern from Miami Dade College (MDC), where he is enrolled in the Biopharmaceuticals program. He expects to graduate with his BSc in 2027 and plans to transfer to a university such as USF or UF to pursue further studies in pharmacy.
With a strong interest in biology, ecology, and chemistry, Michael has engaged in multiple research projects. He previously worked on grafting methyl methacrylate onto corn pulp to evaluate its effectiveness as an adsorption material, and he also investigated the effects of the herbicide glyphosate on the growth of fungal species such as Fusarium, Ganoderma, and Thielaviopsis. Currently, he is exploring GIS through an MDC-funded summer internship program.
